Frequently Asked Questions

What is WeLUL?

WeLUL (We Level Up Life) is a gamified skill tracking app that brings RPG-style progression to everyday life. You log activities in plain language and AI classifies them across six life skills, awarding XP that builds a persistent profile of real-world growth.

How does WeLUL work?

You describe what you did — a morning run, an hour of deep study, a difficult conversation — and WeLUL's AI analyzes the activity, maps it to one or more of six life skills, and awards XP based on effort, skill multipliers, and diminishing returns. The whole process takes about two minutes.

What are the six life skills in WeLUL?

The six skills are Physical Fitness (exercise, sports, movement), Learning & Knowledge (study, reading, courses), Emotional Intelligence (therapy, journaling, difficult conversations), Intentionality & Reflection (planning, meditation, reviews), Time Management (scheduling, organization, productivity), and Social/Communication (networking, relationship-building, public speaking).

Is WeLUL free?

WeLUL is free to use. The core experience — logging activities, AI classification, and XP tracking — is available at no cost. Premium features will be introduced in the future.

What makes WeLUL different from other habit tracking apps?

Most habit trackers require you to manually define and check off habits. WeLUL uses AI to classify free-text activity descriptions across multiple skills simultaneously. A single activity like coaching a youth sports team can earn XP in Physical Fitness, Social/Communication, and Emotional Intelligence — growth you would never track manually.

Can one activity develop multiple skills?

Yes, and that is the core differentiator. WeLUL's multi-skill classification surfaces growth you did not set out to track. A team sport session might build Physical Fitness and Social/Communication. A journaling habit might sharpen both Emotional Intelligence and Intentionality & Reflection.

What is XP in WeLUL?

XP (experience points) is the unit of progression in WeLUL, inspired by RPG skill systems. Each activity you log earns XP based on effort units, skill-specific multipliers, and diminishing returns. Your XP accumulates over time to show measurable personal growth.

How does the AI classification work?

When you log an activity in plain language, WeLUL's AI analyzes the description, identifies which of the six life skills are involved, and assigns a percentage split across those skills. The classification uses natural language processing with confidence scoring to ensure accurate skill mapping.

Is my data private?

Yes. WeLUL is designed to be GDPR compliant from day one. You own your data, can export it at any time, and can delete your account. Activity descriptions and personal information are never shared with third parties for advertising purposes.

What platforms is WeLUL available on?

WeLUL is coming to iOS and Android. You can join the waitlist now at welul.com to get early access when the app launches.

How is WeLUL inspired by RPG progression systems?

WeLUL adapts the skill tree and leveling mechanics found in RPG games to real-world personal development. Instead of grinding virtual skills, you earn XP for actual activities. The six life skills function like RPG skill categories, and your profile reflects genuine growth over time.

What does diminishing returns mean in WeLUL?

Diminishing returns is a game balance mechanism that encourages well-rounded growth. You earn full XP for the first two hours per skill per day, 70% for hours two through four, and 40% beyond four hours. This prevents XP farming and rewards balanced development across all six skills.
